Hi everyone, this is a question about the arrange window and its relationship to the mix section.

I was wondering if there was a way to hide channels from the arrange window but not the mix window.  Essentially I do not need to see all of my stem tracks, or submix groups, or bus tracks or vca's on the arrange view.  It clutters it up way too much and I'm not interested in seeing the channels where I am trying to work on an arrangement.

I do however want to keep those channels visible on the mix window and I have seen it setup like this on a project I downloaded form Puremix.net.

The template I downloaded  is setup so that only the audio stems are in the arrange view and then all of the submix groups and bus tracks, fx sends and vca's are visible in the mix view but not visible in the arrange view which is completely ideal and is when I realized it can be done, but I have not been able to figure out how.

I know that I can hide a track in the arrange view but that also hides it in the mix view and this is not what I am interested in doing.  I am only interested in having the channels that I do not want showing in the arrange view hidden from that window, but still show on the mix view.

Any help would be appreciatedl

If you are using folder tracks or folder busses, unchecking "Link show/hide of Track List and Console" destroys one of the several benefits of folders: The ability to collapse them on the console.  This is an important feature, especially when working with more than 50 tracks or so.
