I do not have antivirus software running nor do I have behavior shield running. When I attempt to record audio, Studio One 2 does not get a signal nor will it arm. However, if I turn on the monitor I get a signal.  Please advise

Yes :)
In studio one you must have selected the monitor and recording signs on track (channel) on left side to record. Without selected monitor sign you will not hear and see signal from canal. To record must have secelcted record sign on track and press record on main bar.
