Do you need to buy a router for the Presonus Studiolive RM16ai mixer or does it have a built-in hotspot like the Soundcraft ui16 mixer?.

Router is needed. There is an included wifi adapter to connect the mixer via wireless to the network. As a workaround there are direct connection methods via ethernet or firewire to have control of the mixer.
