Is it possible to use Studio one instead of UC to remote control SLIII series ? The laptop will be in network by wifi with the SLIII rack.

It's not possible to use Studio One to control the console the same way as UC does. The only control you have in Studio One is DAW mode. They are very different in what their intended purposes are. UC is simply remote control of the mixer from a computer. DAW mode is remote control of Studio One from the mixer.
