I run sound for a church that is about to be a mobile church and we just purchased a Studiolive series 3 rack mixer.  We want to record the sermons but I have some questions about the built in recording.  Is there a way to control the recording from an ipad or is it just plug the SD card in and it starts recording until it is removed?  Does it record multitrack to the SD card or only stereo?  Also I have some old capture recordings and want to know if I can hook a laptop to the rack mixer and send the capture recordings back through the rack mixer and adjust like its a live setting?  Thanks in advance for any help.

The StudioLive Series III rack mixer SD card recordings functions as a stereo recording of the selected paired sources. So you can record the main mix or a pair of aux mixes etc. It is not a multi track recording function.

If you wish to record a multitrack from the rack mixer you need to use Capture or a Studio One via the USB connection or AVB on compatible Macs.

If you wish to play a Capture session back into the mixer, you will need to use the USB connected and change the channels sources to USB to do this.

Once the SD card is inserted into the rack mixer, the Capture screen will appear to allow you to operate this from an iPad.
