Since I did the update From Studio 4.0 to Studio One 4.1. all song style presets (All Instruments, Vocal Recording, Singer/Songwriter, Rock Band, etc.) are completely empty when opening a new song.
But what is even more worse: the record mode for audio tracks doesn't work anymore! I can't activate the record mode. Activating record mode for Instruments (Midi) works, but not for audio tracks, so that I can't record any audio anymore. Not even in new songs but also in already existing songs. Everything worked fine till update.

Note to the moderators: the other answers regarding "audio recording issues" didn't help.

I've accidentally found the reason for this issue on Windows 10. It's been the Windows internal ransomware protection. Everything works fine, when I put it off - I can record audio and save files again. Only must remember to disconnect from the internet before deactivating ransomware protection. Maybe that can help you with your issues.

I have the same problem after an uninstall and then reinstall. Why does no one have an answer for this. Seems a clean reinstall should solve the problem. When you uninstall Studio One all kind of files get left behind and do not uninstall. I can't save any files either I get an error.

I am having this same problem as well.  Did uninstall and re-install but no change in bad behavior.  Installed Studio One 3 again because I never had this problem with it but then 3 "caught" the same problem from 4.  I'm basically locked out of my software at this point.  HELP!!

I don't now how to put the little boxes of info at the bottom of my post so I'll just list what I'm running:

Studio One 4 - Recording Problem - Mac Pro 6,1 with 32 GB RAM and Quad core i5 - Faderport 8 - ATOM - Quantum

Joanna - Presonus got back to me on this problem and said these problems are happening if you have your iCloud drive turned on!  I originally had my iCloud drive turned off just because it's another "thing" the computer industry is pushing on us that I don't really need right now.  But, if you notice, within the browser of studio one there is the iCloud tab where you can go to the Presonus web site to down load products?  I went to download a plugin and doing that must have turned on the "iCloud Drive" and, bingo, I had more problems than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs!  Hopefully this helps.  Good luck in all you seek. - Michael

Thank you for the note on Windows internal ransomware protection, this is the reason instead of uninstalling the ransomware fully I only added both presonus audio box and studio one artist (in fact it will show in recently blocked.) Once I added I am able to record :)
