I'd like for the track names, channel names, and the actual instrument names to link so for example I don't have to keep renaming the instrument tabs from "Kontakt34" to "Violins". It gets time consuming trying to assign tracks to different instruments and I have to do trial and error because everything is "Kontakt 34" or "Impact35".

OMG this is SOOO frustrating. I'm in a session now and I try to open up the mixer and adjust the volume on the track I have labeled strings in the arrangement except in the mixer it's labeled Omnisphere 32 right next to a track called Omisphere 31. SMH

UPDATE: Never mind I found it! "Apply track names to channels" A quick and easy way is to select all Instrument tracks and right click on one of them. It's the last option in the drop down menu:-)

You can highlight the channel and select Track -> Apply track names to channels

But yes, this is asinine put in place by someone who thought they were being very clever when reinventing the wheel.
