Hello. I am very new to Studio One and to digital audio production in general, and I am trying to work out a guitar track using MIDI. I am using the Presence XT Les Paul set and drawing the notes using the paint tool on the edit track mode (I suck at playing anything so I need to draw) and I am asking the instrument to play a two-note chord (D5 and G5) - but instead of getting these two notes sounding together, I am getting only one sound, and it's the G3 note! The same thing happens with other chords, like F5 and C5, which are played as the F3 note instead, but when I try the same chords one or two octaves down - for instance, D3 and G3) they sound perfectly.
I have no idea what I am doing wrong, and I have the Poly option turned on. Is there a limit or a technical restriction to what chords can be played on the Presence XT MIDI instruments? Or am I missing something in the setup?
I am using the Professional Version of Studio One 4 (4.6.1.55987) on Windows 10.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
