When a Track is selected, which is assigned to a certain Group, there is currently no Command available to suspend that Group, to which the selected Track is assigned.

The new Command could be called "Suspend Group assigned to selected Track"

So when firing this new Command, the S1 philosophy would be:

"Ok, so i have to suspend the Group assigned to the currently selected Track"

"Lemme see what Group that is"

"Oh, it is the Group with name "Whatever"

"Ok, so now i suspend the Group with name "Whatever"

-When multiple Tracks are selected and when firing the new "Suspend Group assigned to selected Track" Command,

all Groups assigned to those selected Tracks should be suspended.

What's the goal of this FR? You want to suspend more groups than one but less than all of them?

It might be nice to have a general like "use case" stated, maybe that helps ensure the implementation is appropriate

but on the subject of methods,

heres a thought, why don't we incorporate this into the nicely-done Suspend Group dialogue, something like "Press the up arrow for selected tracks"

then add arguments in Suspend Group (for macros) that allow it to operate on multiple tracks

I like one keyboard shortcut for group suspension, it would be nice if it was more versatile instead of just throwing out more commands for users to keybind / choose between. my 2 cents.

I have to agree.  The current way we suspend the grouping associated with one/more tracks is clumsy.  You have to properly type in one or more group names.

I was expecting that all groups associated with all the selected tracks to be temporarily suspended and that when I was done editing outside the group that hitting Shift G again would toggle the groups back on.  (It doesn't.  And so far, I have yet to find out how to re-enable a suspended group)
