Question

I have zero interest in drawing lane automation, I want to mix in real time and set levels "to the end" once I've found them. Pro Tools has robust automation features I'm missing here: I can select "write to end" or forwards or backwards from the point where I stop the track. I don't see any of this in S1 and it's kind of a dealbreaker for me in making a switch. What am I missing?

Absolutely.  Write to Start/All/End buttons are sorely needed.
