I noticed this problem for the first time with the Studio One 4.5 release. I download and start the update only to get an error where I can abort the installation, ignore it, or see more details. Either way, the update does not occur. Then if I open Studio One, the plugin scanner is disabled and Studio One remains the older version. In this state, Studio One works minus any of my plugins. The only way I have found to get around this problem is to delete Studio One from my Windows 7 machine and then do an install from the downloaded update file.
