Right now and verified by Presonus Tech Support, the second clicking of the footswitch will stop the recording but the transport continues to race forward until you manually stop it via "Stop" on Faderport or within Studio One. My goal is to record band rehearsal songs by using the footswitch located on my guitar pedalboard -- we are ready to play a song- I hit the footswitch & recording starts- we end the song and I hit the footswitch to stop the recording. It stays cued up right there to record the next song---- this way we don't have all the talking and discussion and messing around being recorded-- just a tidy song after song recording. I brought the Faderport and footswitch after watching youtube videos where players did it but apparently, they are not stopping the transport with the footswitch. Well this would be a fabulous thing to be able to do. Thanks

Good suggestion. Maybe it would be better to split the function of the secont press to match the state of the transport when it was first pressed?

Pressing the footswitch while the transport is stopped starts recording (using count-in if setup) & the second press stops the transport like it was.
But, pressing the footswitch while the transport is already playing (I must be doing a punch-in/out) so the transport should stay playing on the second tap. I probably have loop on in this case anyway & may want to overwrite another spot.

Yes. Or maybe a menu in S1 to let us set footswitch behavior so we can stop/start recording, stop/start transport, return to loop start and ???. I record alone a lot, with tons of retakes and/or layers. Options for single taps annd double taps with some menued options would make life so much easier.
