I would like to have an app where we can build scenes from a tablet or PC, separately from the board itself, then load them to the board over UC or SD card later. I work a lot of fast-turnover shows in different rooms daily, and I use this feature regularly with a couple other consoles. It seems like this could possibly be integrated into the demo mode of UC Surface. This way, we can get labels and mix patches all nailed down, and EQs, FX ballparked in, BEFORE we have a band standing around watching us do it.
This would also be handy to edit existing scenes, say, for example a band you work with often calls and says they're firing the trombonist and hiring a kazoo/balalaika player, you can edit their scene pre-emptively so that you're not wasting time on that during the load-in.
Or, if a band you haven't worked with in a while has an upcoming show, you can check their scene on the tablet to get an idea for what mics, boxes, and cables you'll need.
