Question

when start playing back trucks from studio one 4.5 to studiolive 16 iii, appears to be normal, but after a minute or two it starts to sound all distorted, it does the same with any truck, I have use my headphones connecting to the computer and it sounds normal but if l take the sound from the studio live it will be distorted, it was not doing this before, it just started.

Your issue is Catalina, 

Catalina is not approved for use with the Series III at the moment.

I had a similar issue and found it was the monitoring button on one of my tracks.  Turned it off and the distortion went away.

I am still wrapping my head around the audio routing on these series iii boards but it doesn’t like the monitoring when using a typical setup.

I have the same problem with studio one and my studio live 16R (Rack). In my case it started with an upgrade of MacOS to Catalina (macbook pro 2018). All components are fully updated and have the latest firmware. I did a complete fresh install of my laptop, installed UC and studio one: same happened as you described. Even playback from youtube is not possible, but when I quit studio one all is normal...

Now I have downgraded my laptop to a previous OS. All is normal.

I think that in my case Studio One is not completely compatible with Catalina. Presonus team, do you have any thoughts on this one?
