Question

The aspect ratio on Universal Control is too large for my new 14" laptop (ASUS Zenbook Flip) that I bought mainly for this.

Using the software for my StudioLive Series III.

I can shorten the width of the program but not the length.

Any way to fix this or do I have to wait for an update?

It is correct that you can't change vertical extent, only horizontal - depending on the size of the screen you use. I see that you will need more "space" than the area covered by the Task Bar, so I think the only option is to increase the resolution of your screen. It's also possible to NOT fix the Windows Task Bar, which might add a little more space for UC Surface.
