Question

so after updating to studio one 4 professional from version 4.5 to version 4.6, I add a new track, and click on the record button on that track. but it won't turn red to show that it is ready to be record. what is wrong?

It sounds like maybe your i/o settings were lost. I had this happen when I switched to a different interface. The record arm kinda looks dark and there is no input listed underneath it.

Try clicking on the i/o button on the left of the mixer console (right above the little wrench icon) and see if your inputs and outputs look correct for your interface. Also you can try deleting whatever i/o's are setup and re-set them up. That worked for me.
