Kronos won't show as connected - need to record my songs track by track using clock sync

I added my KORG Kronos 2 in the External Devices section but can't get it to show as connected with Studio One. I want to record using a 48KHz sample rate, is that the issue? Probably not. I am using the Audient iD14 interface with 2 cables running from the L & R outputs on the Kronos to the 1 & 2 Line inputs on the iD14. If I hit start on the Kronos in song mode (where I want to export my tracks, one by one - some of them stereo - into Studio One) the audio comes through my speakers with the 'record' icon lit on an individual Studio One track. I could then record by muting every track except the desired track, using a single click on a separate 2 bar lead-in track, but then I'd have to manually line up all the tracks later. I'd rather have the Korg, the iD14 and Studio One on the same page so I press record on Studio One and the tracks start and record at the same time (one by one) in the same start position. On the iD14 I have 'OPTICAL' selected under 'PREFERRED CLOCK SOURCE' and the status light reads red so there's an issue there... and don't see any clock options on the Korg.

Sorry but all the info online I can find all relates to recording MIDI... I like all the sounds in my Kronos and don't have time to mess with MIDI, need to get some demos recorded using audio.
