Q1. While using a Tascam FW-1884 (Mackie Control Emulation) with Studio One, motorized faders are only used for volume.
Is it possible to somehow use them for plugin / instruments parameters ?

Q2. Using a Tascam FW-1884 in Midi control mode, I have set up 3 faders as CC1 (Modulation), CC11 (Expression), CC7 (Volume).

I can indeed record automation this way.

However, the faders are not motorized this way, eg they won't move in Read Automation mode, nor to their default value. The only mode where the faders are motorized is when automating track volume.

Is it possible to use motorization for other automation, such as modulation or expression or midi volume?

Since I know it is possible with Presonus Faderport 8, does any one knows if this can be done exclusively through midi programming ? Is there any way to get the midi programming of the Faderport 8, i.e.which midi messages are sent for which button/control?

@themusic: not the answers I wished for, but thanks for clarifying things!

ANSWER: No this is not possible with the Mackie Control and Studio One.

ANSWER: No. The motorized part is not available while in MIDI control mode as there is no feedback for fader positioning in this mode.
