Question

I have two mono tracks. Track 1 and Track 2. Both tracks have an insert of "GTR tool rack" by Waves. When they are both enabled it starts producing static noises. It is even worse when you select a distortion preset from the plug in.

However, when the the two tracks are in stereo, this issue is doesn't happen.

I was wondering why that is the case? I have no idea and hope someone has the answer?

For your information, you do not need to have any cables or microphones plugged in to your interface. The problem is coming from the computer or something. This is issue also happens in Cubase. I have a2016 16gb ram Macbook Pro.

The same problem occurs on both mac and pc. The problem is with the vst 64 bit, 32 bit plugins that work fine, only they are not useful now )) Maybe you have found a solution to the problem?

Even though this appears to have been around for a while, I don't think I noticed it until I recently upgraded to Studio One v6.5, opened a "completed" project and was greeted with loud static from all tracks using Waves Gtr-3 Mono/Stereo. I think I may have found a workaround:

1. Make the affected tracks STEREO.

2. Install Binaural Pan as the first plugin on each track and select MONO.

3. Replace instances of Waves Gtr-3 Mono/Stereo with the Stereo version.
