I currently have a 1818VSL (which I currently use in conjunction with a D8 DigiMax Preamp. I am a drummer, and plug my 8 drums mics into to the D8 which is connect to the 1818VSL via ADAT.
I am about to get a new computer with a Thunderbolt 3 connection. I realize that the additional speed will really help in minimizing latency while recording, but I am wondering if it will bring me other advantages as well--such as improved sound quality. (Are they newer/better preamps in the Quantum 2626?, Does that even matter since I use a D8?)
