Sounds like a guitar humbucker with high tone (possibly bridge pickup) thru something like the Tube Screamer. Possibly a 4x12 cab (marshall at a guess), lead channel. He maybe using a trick with high gain on the Screamer and using the volume switch/ pedal to get that distortion on the attack. Possibly a 1mm pick. So, in Ampire, get the tube screamer and some nice reverb. Try and get a high gain stack/amplifier and some reverb. Remember one thing - your tone will get close but some of that tone is mixed by the engineer and some of it is the combo of pickup- distortion pedal and amp. Amp settings - bass 2, mid 7, treble 7/8 reasonably high gain. Caveat - I literally listened to about 2 minutes of that track. The best suggestion is to look for a rig rundown article for Robben Ford. I can't actually tell you the exact gear he used. Oh, and that tone - its mostly in the hands. With all I have said - you can try all the settings you want but you need to emulate his attack to get his tone.
