First of all I don't want to S1 to be a clone of Ableton Live but I may have to switch to it for live performances because you can assign ANY of the mixer channel controls to a controller (like my ATOM) in a wink of an eye. I think you can currently only do a global 'solo' or 'mute' on the ATOM and via MIDI cc which is of much use to me as a chocolate fireguard on a cold winters day. I just want to be able to assign the above mentioned controls to the pads or knobs on my ATOM and for it to record automation on the channels when in 'Write' mode. Maybe you could add a 'performance' mode which will put all of S1 in a record state so that any control/switch/fader/knob you touched on the mixer, plugins and VST's would be recorded onto the appropriate track or channel. I use the mixer as an instrument and improvise on it on the fly. I don't think it's too much to ask your lovely programmers to add such functionality to S1 is it? I've already come across a stumbling block in Ableton so please grant me this wish! Many thanks!!
