Hello,

I know this question was asked for Studio One 4 but this is for 5. Does Studio One 5 have the ability to drag the playhead with the mouse in the main clips window? V4 did not have that ability and although a person could go down to the bottom of the screen and drag left and right in the transport bar on cursor location.... this is highly ineffective from a user perspective. Why? Please see the following points:

1- Moving the cursor to a distant location in the app while the end result of that activity is back towards the top creates a kind of mental separation between the activity and the result. And the eyes need to continuously jump back and forth to correlate the numerical location with the playhead physical location.

2- When performing precise cuts on audio clips, dragging the cursor to a desired location in the timeline, then dragging the clip to snap to the cursor is occasionally how I might approach a problem. By not allowing the cursor to be dragged, creating a 2 or 3 point edit (similar to video editing) is not possible, and 2 and 3 point edits are very fast and effective (there is a reason why most video and audio programs allow for a draggable playhead). It simply is faster and more localized in a relavent place to have this feature.

Please add this if studio 5 doesnt have this.

Thanks
