can I configure StudioLive 24r to have 10 effects loops.. taking one input and routing it to an output on the back putting it through some sort of effects processor and plugging it back into an input on the front. Pardon my basic knowledge of mixers

Yes you could.

Each send from the XLR on the back would need to have its own AUX channel setup.

Each return from the external hardware would need to be sent to another channel on the mixer.
