Question

While mixing session, I  accidentally pressed the command for 'Melodyne enable' instead of 'clip mute' (pushed CTRL+m instead of SHFT+m), received a dialogue box and S15 Studio crashes. Attempted to reopen session and it is stuck at 'Song Loading' screen.

After extensive research, I found that 'ARA' service is stopping song from opening, but I've tuned all vocals and need Melodyne to finish Mix.

Time sensitive, 8 Minute Musical project that I may have to transfer over to PTools because I'm not going to spend $800 on Celemony just to upgrade.

ps: This all took place AFTER the recent upgrade from S15.01 to S15.02 by the way...very frustrating.

Any help here?

I have the same issue with songs crash at startup when edited with melodyne, but loads after I've disabled ARA.

I'm on Melodyne 4 and both S1 4.6.2 and S1 5.0.2 crashes. But upgrading will probably not solve the problem, I just tried to load a session where I've only used VocAlign, not yet Melodyne, and it crashed exactly the same way. So it seems like an ARA issue.

I hope Presonus are aware of and on to this bug, it's a mess when one cant open songs without disable ARA!

Hi!

I am experiencing the same extremely frustrating bug. ARA off is the option to start the project but obviously you want you extensive Melodyne work back. The speed you gain on the ARA functionality is being trashed when its all gone and going back to protools would be my reaction.

Altough I am happy to give S1 a chance, and researching the options of other ARA plugins that could be buggy as well. At the moment I am upgrading all plugins, and installing also the latest versions of Vocalign. What if this creates the crashes somehow...

Keep you posted and PLEASE!!!!! let me know if anyone found a solution for the melodyne problem.

I have the exact same problem whit S1 stuck loading songs. The  ARA-support also prevents S1 to shut down correctly. It ends up in "zombie mode" and I have to kill the process manually. Ridiculous, I really don't want to switch back to Cubase but I simply can not work with software this unreliable in a professional environment. Sad.
