Hi - New USB96 interface. I have it connected to my laptop over USB, and directly connected to my powered monitors.  Whenever the laptop turns on, or comes out of "sleep" mode, the  AudioBox gets power and I hear a massive pop on my monitors.  Also, when powering off the laptop, which powers off the AudioBox, I get a loud "thud" on my monitors.  Afraid I'm going to damage my monitors.

Any way to avoid this?  I've tried turning all the levels to 0 on the AudioBox, but that doesn't address this power surge to the monitors.

Hi.  The pop sounds like you need to change the order you power on your equipment.  Simply put - power your monitors last.  Essentially you power on through the signal chain.  Power Laptop first.  Then power your interface.   If your interface is bus powered, then it will power on when connected to or as the laptop starts.  (If this is the case, then wait until your operating system is at the desktop before the next step.) Then, finally, turn on your monitors.  When you come to powering down your session, reverse the operation.  Power down the monitors first, then the interface, lastly the laptop.

Try with a surge suppressor of static with ferrita in the connection cables or try to disconnect the wifi router.

Also, try to change the cable of the condenser mic, the phantom power it's very delicate with the white noise or static interference, use a new cable with more power resistance or impedance high resistance.
