What setting do I need to change so that Melodyne does not get removed from my track when I click on different takes/layers

1. I record a few takes
2. Right click on the track and choose edit with Melodyne This brings up Melodyne in the edit window, which is good.
3. Comp part of a different take, and then Melodyne is removed from track, and the audio editor window opens in Melodyne's place.
4. Add Melodyne back to the track
5. Choose a different take and Melodyne is removed again and the Audio editor opens back up again replacing Melodyne. Based on the videos I have watched with comping with Studio One and Melodyne it shows that when you select a comp from a different take it leaves Melodyne up and changes the note in Melodyne to reflect the change in take, which is what I was expecting instead of it being removed from the track and then needing to add it back.

I am assuming this is just a setting that I need to adjust, but so far I have not been able to find any documentation on this..
