I am writing orchestral music and there are sections when the music tempo is free/rubato - flute solo, small group of musicians. Then the instrumental parts are recorded freely and not to a metronome.
However, after finishing, I would like to force the tempo map to follow the final outcome so that the score shows what the musicians should play correctly.
Obviously if you move the tempo afterwards the MIDI information will change as it is tied to the tempo.
So, I need something where you tap as if you are conducting to what you are listening to and the beats move to the taps without adjusting any of the lengths of notes or expression data.
