Question

It's all said in the title with the exception that it would certainly make things easier to see whenever I need to "unfolder" everything for whatever reason. In addition, I could keep "functional" channels separated from "musical" channels on smaller mixes. See mockup below (ignore channel labels...it's a mockup using an image borrowed from a Gregor vid).
