I got an AudioBox USB 96 today. After installing all the required software I noticed an occasional soft beep that didn't happen all the time. After calling Sweetwater and browsing support on Presonus, Sweetwater, and YouTube for the better part of 10 hours, I decided to test my WiFi router's output and see if that was causing it. Turning it off and on again immediately causes the noise to pop through my headset a few times.
Has anyone else had this problem with WiFi causing RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), and does anyone have a workable solution? I've heard that ferrite core FRI chokes can fix the problem, but might reduce sound quality.
More information: The router is directly below my desktop, and in my small apartment, I don't really have any other places to put it unfortunately. I disabled 2.4GHz and that got rid of the noise completely. I still have the 5GHz active, so I don't need it on to have wifi, but the range is too short to reach every bedroom effectively. I'd like to find a fix for this anyway, I wouldn't want this to continue to be a problem if a neighbor gets a new router.
