Hi, i´m a long time Fl Studio user, migrating to Studio One. Love everything so far (except the pianoroll). I understand that every experience is different, but i think ALOT of people would need this. Since my background is not from playing live, but rather producing in midi. I believe Fl Studio have the fastest pianoroll/midi editing workflow, which I have not yet seen in Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase & Studio One. Which are the DAWs i´ve tried out. Some will ask, why not just record it directly with midi keyboard. Then edit the midi? Because we have different workflows. thats why. I also think this applies to the music you are making.
Make an edit/workflow option for the pianoroll/midi editor inside Studio One that is similar to Fl Studio. Also, maybe call it the pianoroll, instead of midi editor?
FEATURE REQUEST:
- add notes with one left click
- delete notes with right click (also deleting multiple notes by holding & dragging)
- command click & drag to select notes
- when copying holding option, it should just be copied directly. without needing to "hold" option down then dragging, then releasing the note. a copy is a copy.
- free velocity editing, without needing to hold down command
I would guess this applies to a lot of producers, especially those that edit on a laptop & nothing more. It works now, it´s not broken. But I think it can be drastically improved.
