Somewhat niche, but it would be super useful to have a lamp or illuminated sign outside my home studio to indicate whether I was actively recording a take. I happen to have a number of Philips Hue lamps around my home, so to have one outside the studio door that automatically switches on (or even changes colour from green to red) when recording would warn my family not to disturb me in my happy place. That would be wonderful.
