Instrument or audio record-arm follows selection only when actually selected

It's nice to have record enable follow the selected track, but especially if only "instrument record" is enabled and you select an audio track instead, the instrument/MIDI stays record enabled, which is very annoying. it'd be nice for this feature be a little smarter, so by default if the track is selected, it's record enabled, if not, then not, unless the listener manually record enables it, in which case it'll stay record enabled until manually disabled. (see cubase for this behavior

OMG, this is SO annoying.  I keep LOSING midi work because I decide to record an audio track.   

Switching from an instrument track to an audio track  should TURN OFF RECORD for the instrument track the same way it does if I click on another instrument track.

Seriously, this is terrible behavior that needs to be fixed.
