Why does Notion AND S1 Score editor mutilate Musicxml files?

Background:  I transcribe using guitar pro v7.  I then have to export as either Midi or MusicXML to import the file into Notion, so I can then send the file to Studio One, so I can have the tab on screen while I record my guitar part.   However, doing so destroys the work I have done in sorting the fingerings for the tabulature.  I cannot import the musicXML format file into Studio One on an empty track so I can have the tab running across the bottom of the screen while I play the part in.  When I import the midi to an empty track, playing positions are moved to what Studio One "thinks they should be", not the ones I have specifically set.  This is not only a waste of time thru the number of processes I need to go thru to just to have a tabulature arrangement on screen to play with, there is no way to use both Studio One AND Guitar Pro running at the same time.  To use both softwares at the same time, i am literally running two systems at the same tine.   Simply put - allow import of GP formatted files into Studio One.  This process is not accurate and it's the backend of the score editor that is to blame.
