Assign Midi CC#1 and CC#11 globally

I am having trouble with keeping my MIDI CC assignments. I am trying to assign my Korg NanoKontrol 2 to expression and dynamics. It works sometimes, but other times I can't get Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol to see the CC#11. The fader for CC#1 will often link to expression, so one fader is controlling both.

I am sure I have set everything up correctly. I can midi map the Nano and it shows the 2 faders have CC#1 and CC #11. When I go to my Spitfire Kontakt and try to assign, it doesn't see them. I have tried the Blue Triangle, the Yellow Triangle. I just can't get it to be consistent.

What am I missing?

By default it seems to want to assign my S88Mk2 mod wheel to both CC allocations. I have now deleted my S88MK2 as an device to try and stop this.

This has been the most frustrating thing about moving from Logic to S1

Probably have to go the instrument in Kontakt, and clear the CC assignment to that parameter.

Just because something in kontakt is named "expression" doesn't necessary mean it's using CC11.

In the MIDI input history, you can see what channel and message you are receiving.
