Hello

I have a presonus Quantum. I have bypassed it’s preamps by running the outputs from my 500 series rack into the quantum via 1/4 TRS. So it is essentialy just a converter/interface.

I would like to add an additional 8 channels via ADAT. The DP88 no longer exists. I see the DP 8 has ADAT out, would it work? and If so, can you bypass the preamps like I have on the Quantum. And finally, are the A/D converters on the DP8/DP88 comparable to the Quantum?

Alternately, there is the Studio 1824c unit. Can I bypass it’s preamps? Are the converters the same as the Quantum? Will it be easily recognized through ADAT?

Thank you
