I consider buying a Studiolive AR12c for my home studio and I am not sure how the USB return signals are handled.

Is it true that the sound coming from my Mac can only be heard on the control room outs if the super channel's USB return is engaged ? And if the main's USB 1/2 send is engaged, does it produce a feedback loop ? If so, then I guess it's impossible to record a stereo mix of the whole mixer in a DAW whilst listening to it on the control room outs? Is the superchannel available as a seperate input in the DAW, meaning can I record it ?

For instance, is it possible to record and monitor a guitar with a dry signal directly plugged (without using an amp) to input 1 where the actual amp sound is then produced by a plugin in Apple Logic on the track I record the dry signal to, but monitoring the wet signal generated by the plugin through the control room out ?

Thanks!
