Why can't I hear audio coming from my computer's speakers?

Once you have enabled your PreSonus interface to be the sound output device for your computer, all of your computer's audio (warning sounds, iTunes, etc) will play through the outputs of your PreSonus interface. To hear these sounds, you must connect a pair of monitors or headphones to your PreSonus audio interface.
