Question

I would like to route midi notes on a studio one track to an external device. this can serve a couple of purposes. first, if we have our own midi synth we can simply use the existing midi notes to trigger our sounds from our synth. but what im trying to do is use an led midi synth to learn how to play songs. the incoming midi from the track will light up the corresponding keys. does anybody know how do to this in studio one?

This is not the correct tutorial. I am not trying to use an external synthesizer. I want to copy and paste a prerecorded midi clip from any source into studio one and use that to trigger the external synthesizer.
