In FL Studio, there is a system called "Patterns", which allows you to overlay multiple midi tracks so you can see your current track's events in relation to the others.

In Studio One, we can do something similar by selecting multiple midi tracks at once. But it's extremely easy to accidentally select the midi notes of another track, especially when there's a lot going on in the project. Is there a way to prevent that from happening? So displaying all the other midi notes as well, but only as a visual cue.

I only have the latest ver of S1 Pro, but my answer is probably the same for ver 6.

Once you have opened the edit window for an event, there is a track list menu icon, (that looks a little like a hamburger) to the left of the event info.

Open that and select the edit pencil for the tracks you want to edit (blue = on). The other track's midi notes are visible but cannot be edited
