Group 'specific events' from different tracks together as a Group, rather than grouping entire tracks.

I would like to be able to group 'specific events' from different tracks together, and then automate that group...but not have the automation affect those entire 'tracks', just the 'group' of selected events in those tracks.

I previously requested the clip groups feature (same as what's in Pro Tools, Audition + others), but it hasn't been implemented yet unfortunately.
