Why do I have to RESTART Studio1 to load new VSTs?

Why do I have to RESTART Studio1 to load new VSTs? ****** Adobe Audition can scan VSTs on demand. Why is this even a thing for S1?

Open the Plug-In manager and click "Update Plugin List" button at the bottom right of the window to achieve this, without having to restart Studio One.
