Question

I have a track in version 6 that is behaving unusually. When I mute the track and hit play, the track will unmute. And if I mute the track again during playback, it will unmute again when I hit stop. This happens in both track view and console view.

It sounds like you may have inadvertently recorded track automation for the mute function. Try turning track automation off on that track to see if it still happens.  I hope this helps.
