Long story short, im trying to decide between cubase and studio one for orchestral composing and film scoring. Cubase has a bit more features but also has so many things that are being ignored and have been for a long time, I would feel more comfortable in Studio One as the development seems more active and the devs seem to listen closer which is nice.
Is there a line tool? I know you can paint, but I need it not quantized to the grid. The line tool in Cubase, you can draw a line over any amount of time from any note to any note and it will just calculate how long each note needs to be to fill that gap. This is useful for string runs where different strings start on different notes but all end on the same note. They play at different speeds like 1/27th of the measure. This can't be done with the grid.
Am I missing something?
