I'm trying to use my iPad as a midi or audio device in Studio One 3.  I've downloaded rtpmidi and loopmidi on my computer and midimux and studiomux on my ipad.  Using Studiomux and the audiomux generator, I can hear the sound and see it playing in STudio One, but when I hit record to try to record it nothing is recorded.  Can someone help me with this?  I've connected the ipad directly to my computer using a lightening to usb cable.

Why can I hear and see the sound in Studio One, but not record it as an audio clip?

Samsung Notebook9, Windows 10, build 10586, Studio One Demo

I'm no expert in S1 but here are my thoughts. Try adding the iPad as an external device for Midi. for Audio, you should go through your interface. I would use a cable from the 1/8"  (Headphone) to 1/4" or XLR adapter and connect to your interface. If you use 1/4" you may need a Di depending on your interface. I don't know that you can set up the lightening input as an actual audio input.
