If you mix in Pro Tools you know this feature: you can use multi-channel processing (stereo) or multi-mono. Multi-mono will let you process L/R with different settings using one single instance of a plugin, as opossed to when we have to use the Splitter and add two instances of a plugin and split it in two channels. Multi-mono saves processing power, mainly when using UAD plugins that are still not native. Cheers.
