StudioLive CS is too expensive and over feature reach for average user. Definitely need smaller controller and Faderport is ideal choice. But it looks and feel too old. Please make new version with the same one fader, but with modern silent buttons, like in SL mixers and CS surface.

I would pay a higher price for a more advanced Faderport (the Faderport Pro!).

Lower profile, sleeker look, much improved displays (OLED?) that are easier to see and read, quieter fader movements. I absolutely love the Faderport, but it does have a certain toy-like look to it - it's kind of hard to articulate why, but that's the feeling I get - it doesn't quite feel like I'm in a professional studio. I'd even accept a slightly wider Faderport 16 Pro to have slightly better spacing between faders.

And some way to know which channel is selected even when in edit plugins mode. I actually keep a 1c coin sitting on top of my faderport which I move to whichever channel is selected so I can remember which solo button to press when I want to check the specific track whilst still editing some plugin's parameters.
