I am using a Mac Book Pro (OS X El Captan 10.11.15) 2.7 GHz i7, 16 gig Ram, running Studio One 3.

I just got the AUDIOBOX USB and the latency makes it un usable.

Device Block 256 Samples

Precision 64 bit

In Latency is 13.88 ms

Out Latency is 8.07

Sample Depth 44.1

Bit Depth 32

If I decrease the Block size the latency does decrease to 3.72 but the input sound is horrible.

I've used the Presonus  16.0.2 firewire without latency issues.

How can I get the latency using the AUDIOTEX to a usable level?

Latency is the nature of computer processing audio in real time.  Buffer effect how much and are necessary for smooth audio.

You can work around latency by listening to inputs before processing.  Turn the Mixer Dial to 12'o'clock position.  This will allow you to hear your inputs with computer playback all audibly at the same time.
