I'm trying to connect my Audiobox to my computer using a USB cable extender, however the device is not recognised. I have followed these instructions to uninstall and reinstall the drivers yet it doesn't work.

I'm using a desktop PC running Windows 10.

This is the cable extender I'm using. The driver is Universal Control v1.8.1.39355

This is the "Device Status":

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB configuration descriptor failed.

Edit: When using just the supplied cable, it is recognised and works fine.

With USB bus powered devices, e.g. the AudioBox USB, you can not extend the USB cable. The longer the cable, the more bus power is lost. If the AudioBox does not have enough power it will not be able to be recognized by the computer.

If the device works fine without the extender then you can be sure that this is the issue.

A powered USB hub may work in this case but use at your own risk.
