Question

Installed Studio one 3 on my Windows 8.1.  Download from the email link received from my userid [email protected] for Studio One 3 with Windows x86.  Installation was successful.   When click the icon to start up Studio One 3 x86, the following message pop up:

The program cant start because api-ms-win-crt-string-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Tried reinstall but the same problem persists.

This issue is rooted in your copy of Windows 8; which is missing several critical updates.
  - A quick google search of your issue will confirm this.

Please download, install, reboot your PC and re-test.
